Gratin Of Asparagus And Potatoes

Preparation

To carry out the preparation you need a potato peeler, a frying pan and a source.

First , preheat the oven to about 180ºC. So, peel the potatoes and cut them into slices. Also, cut the asparagus into chunks. Once you are done, peel and chop the onion and garlic. Put the olive oil in a pan and brown the cornstarch.

Next, add the cream, pepper and nutmeg. You can also add a little milk if you see it very thick. Place all the vegetables in the pan and sprinkle with your favorite spices. Don’t forget to add the pepper here.

Next, bathe with the cream. Afterwards, the source should be covered with the grated cheeses. Put in the oven and leave for about 25 minutes Finally,  gratin for 5-10 minutes with the top of the oven.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of white asparagus and 1 or 2 potatoes.
  • 150 grams of ham.
  • Grated cheese.
  • Oregano and olive oil

Preparation

To start, peel and cut the potatoes into very thin slices. Then, water the bottom of a bowl with the olive oil. Then add a potato base.

Then, roll each asparagus in a slice of ham and place them on the potato base. Top with the grated cheese, a drizzle of olive oil and the oregano.

Finally , gratin with the oven preheated to 180º for  about 5 minutes until the cheese is gratinated.

Low calorie asparagus and potato gratin

Next, we propose a low-calorie asparagus and potato gratin.

Ingredients

  • A bunch of green asparagus and 2 or 3 potatoes.
  • 1 small onion or 1 leek, and 1 or 2 cloves of garlic.
  • 200 ml of soy cream
  • Herbs to your liking, oregano, thyme, parsley.
  • A pinch of ground pepper or nutmeg.
  • Extra virgin olive oil.

Preparation

The first thing as always is to preheat the oven, in this case to about 180 ºC.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices. So, slice the asparagus and peel and slice into the onion and garlic. Afterwards, the oven dish should be drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.

Next, add all the vegetables to the platter and sprinkle with your favorite spices. Next, bathe with the soy cream.

Additional tips

To this dish it is usually recommended to add  salmon, prawns, bacon or ham cubes. You can also substitute the cream for gratin with slices of low-calorie cheese.

If you prefer, you can also substitute the cream for bechamel cooked with a little flour and skimmed milk.
